Willa Privacy Policy
Last updated: [TODO: date to be set at publish]
Draft — not yet legal advice. This policy was prepared ahead of Willa's public launch and has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer. Don't rely on it as legal advice.
1. Who we are
Willa ("Willa," "we," "us") provides AI-assisted creative intelligence software — Brand Protect and Market Adapt — that helps marketing and brand teams assess advertising creative for effectiveness and reputational risk before launch. This policy explains what information we collect through our website and product, and how we use it.
2. Information we collect
- Contact and account information you provide directly — name, work email, company, role, and any message you send us through our contact form or, once available, during account signup.
- Creative and campaign content you upload to the product — images, video, text/copy, and the campaign context you provide alongside it (brand, target markets, placement, objectives).
- Usage information — how you interact with the product (pages visited, features used, reports generated) and standard technical data (IP address, browser type, device type) collected automatically.
- Language preference, stored in your browser (via local storage and a small cookie) so the site remembers whether you've chosen English or French.
3. How we use information
To operate and improve the product; to respond to inquiries and provide early-access/ onboarding support; to generate the effectiveness and reputational-safety analysis you request; to maintain audit logs of activity on your organization's account (see §5); and, if you've opted in, to help improve our underlying models.
4. Your creative content and AI processing
Your creative and campaign context is processed to generate your reports. It is not used to train Willa's or any third-party's underlying AI models unless you've given explicit, separate opt-in consent to that use. Where anonymized creative-review data is used to build Willa's internal benchmarking and calibration library, it is anonymized first — with client- and brand-identifying information removed — before it enters that library, and it is never presented in your own reports as if it were an external, citable source.
5. Data isolation, audit logs, and access
Data belonging to your organization is logically isolated from other organizations' data. Every upload, report view, PDF export, share-link creation, comment, and review decision (approve / request changes / reject) on a report is recorded in an audit log visible to your organization's admins, so you always know who accessed or acted on what.
6. Who we share information with
We share information only with the service providers that let us operate the product and this website — for example, our hosting provider, our contact-form processor, our authentication provider, the underlying AI model providers that process creative content to generate your analysis, and, if enabled, a website analytics provider. We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect Willa's or our users' rights and safety.
7. Cookies and analytics
The website uses a small, functional cookie/local-storage value to remember your language preference. If Google Analytics is enabled (it is off by default until a real measurement ID is configured), it uses its own cookies to help us understand aggregate site usage; you can decline cookies via your browser settings, and analytics is only ever loaded once a real measurement ID has been configured.
8. Data retention
We retain account and creative content for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide the service, plus a reasonable period afterward for legal, security, and backup purposes. You can request deletion of your data — see §10.
9. Security
We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including access controls and audit logging as described above. No system is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
10. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you're located, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these, contact us at [TODO: real privacy contact address].
11. Children
Willa is a business-to-business product and is not directed to, and should not be used by, children.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product evolves. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do, and post material changes here.
